I'm a CFP® professional and Enrolled Agent, and the only advisor at Willcox Wealth Management. When you work with the firm, you work with me.
I built this practice for people who want their planning, investments and taxes handled together, by someone who knows their whole picture.
My career started with the Boston Red Sox. It was fast paced, client-centric, and a ton of fun, which is how I still run this practice. I was there for the 2018 World Series title, and it's where I met my wife, Carolina. I also fell hard for investing. I taught myself most of what I knew and figured plenty of other people could use help with the same questions about their own money.
I moved into Financial Services in 2019, starting at Citizens Bank and then E*TRADE, where I was working when Morgan Stanley bought the company. In 2022 I joined Mercer Advisors, a national registered investment adviser, in Denver. Along the way I learned more about different parts of the industry, and picked up pieces that I liked, understood what I didn't, and use that information to launch my own firm.
I started Willcox Wealth Management in 2025, and it has been fee-only and fiduciary from day one. The practice is based in New York City now. I'm happy to meet in person, though most of my client meetings happen over video, and that lets me work with clients in other states too.
Money decisions shouldn't be made based strictly based on the tax effect, but it's always part of the decision. Being an Enrolled Agent means I can work through that side with you as we plan, before anything is decided.
Your portfolio does a lot of the work in any plan. I build it from low-cost funds so more of your money stays invested. The other lever we can control is behavior, and helping you stick with the plan through lifes up's and down's is a big part of my job.
You should understand every recommendation I make and the reasoning behind it. If something doesn't make sense, ask, and I'll walk you through it again a different way.
I don't earn commissions or sell products. My fees are published on the Services page, and the only money I receive comes from my clients.
The CFP® mark covers the full range of planning, from retirement and investments to insurance and estate, and I've held it since 2022. In 2024 I became an Enrolled Agent, which the IRS calls the highest credential it awards. So much of the planning I do turns on taxes that I wanted that depth for my clients.
I've been quoted in The New York Times on planning for a longer life and in The Wall Street Journal on owning bonds when prices fall. Either paper may ask you to subscribe before you can read the full article.
